Deal Alert: Google Play promotion offers blockbuster HD movies for $5 each

Google Play Store has introduced a new promotional offer on hit Hollywood movies in HD for $5 each. Buying a digital copy from Google Play Store will let you download and watch them any where, any time.
The list of hit HD titles include Inception, 2001: Space Odyssey, The Matrix, Napolean Dynamite, The Amazing Spiderman, The Hangover, and many more.
Do note that certain HD titles can also be rented at $3 price in case you don’t want to purchase them. Many of these titles can also be purchased or rented from Amazon Instant Video service at almost the same price.

Deal alert : HP Stream 7 tablet now available for $79 at online Microsoft Store

The HP Stream 7 tablet, which was launched last year at a price tag of $99.99, can now be purchased for just $79 from the online Microsoft Store.
The deal also includes a free one-year subscription to Microsoft Office 365 Personal (worth $69.99), which means you get the latest versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, plus 1TB of OneDrive online storage as well as 60 minutes of free Skype calls per month.
And that’s not it! You’ll also get a $25 Windows Store Gift Card, allowing you buy apps, games, movies, and music on Windows, Windows Phone, and Xbox.

Deal Alert : HTC One (M8) $150 off this weekend, Re camera 25% off

HTC says happy President's Day with price cuts to select products, including the outgoing HTC One (M8) flagship and the Re camera. You can grab the One (M8) straight from HTC's online store in the US at $500, $150 off its usual price.

The deal is valid only this weekend, President's Day commemorates George Washington's birthday and is celebrated on the third Monday of February (this year it falls on the 16th).

Anyway, you could get the One (M8) in any color you like and for any carrier (including Sprint's Harman/Kardon version), an unlocked phone or a developer phone. Note that the HTC One (M9) is less than a month away, we should see it at the MWC starting in March. So, $150 off sounds like a good deal but you may want to skip it.
We haven't seen leaks about a next-gen Re camera (which is no guarantee it won't be replaced). You can snag one for $150, 25% off its usual price. That's $50 less than the GoPro Hero 3 White, but $20 more than the base Hero.


The promo also includes select cases at half price - the Dot View Premium case ($25), the Flip case ($15) and the Double Dip case ($12.50).
As you can imagine, this promotion is US only.

Deal Alert : Sony SmartWatch 3 is now $50 cheaper at Verizon

Sony’s original SmartWatch 3 that comes with a silicone wristband has now become cheaper by a cool $50. That’s only true if you buy yours from Verizon, though. Sure, the carrier may not be the first retailer you think of when considering a wearable purchase, but right now it does have the best price for the SmartWatch 3.
You can grab one for just $199.99, which compares pretty favorably to the normal selling price of $249.99. You should know however that there’s no indication of whether this is a limited time deal or not.
So if the SmartWatch 3 seems interesting to you, perhaps you should take the plunge now that it’s available at a lower price. If this version of the watch isn’t right for you, then the stainless steel variation should soon cater to your needs.
The Sony SmartWatch 3 boasts a 1.6-inch 320×320 transflective LCD touchscreen, a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi, GPS, and a few sensors: accelerometer, compass, gyro, and one for ambient light. It’s IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, and it runs Android Wear.

Deal Alert: Amazon offering 37 apps for free, normally totaling $140/€100

Amazon is giving out paid apps for free again, this time the bundle costs $140 in total. Not that you’ll pay a dime of it, if you download the apps from the Amazon App Store. As usual it’s a varied bundle ranging from Office apps to health apps plus a lot of games
The big ticket items are the Longman Dictionary (Audio Edition), which normally goes for $30 and OfficeSuite Professional 8, usually $20.
You can view the complete list here. There’s a filter on the right to view only a specific category. Most of the entries on the list are games (12), followed by Health & fitness (5) and Productivity (4).
If you’re not in the US, try your local Amazon site – the German one is running the same promo with the bundle valued at €100.
Amazon has done better deals, like the $220 bundle this Christmas, but we’re not complaining about getting free stuff.

Deal Alert : contract free HTC One (M7) in blue now just $150 at BestBuy

US retailer BestBuy is now offering the HTC One (M7) off contract for $149.99. The store is obviously clearing its inventory as a preparation for the launch of the HTC One (M9) in a month’s time.
The device is available for both AT&T and Verizon and is more than a decent phone for the money considering there’s a no long-term contract to sign. Not to mention, that HTC is working on an Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the phone as well.
The special price is valid only for the blue version of the One (M7), while the silver one retails for $50 more at $200. We’ll see if the price of the phone will drop even lower than this, as just two weeks ago, BestBuy sold the phone for $199.

Deal alert : Motorola offers $140 off for purchases of $499.99 for Valentine’s Day

Motorola has just announced its Valentine’s Day promotion. If you buy from the phone maker’s website directly, you’ll be able to save as much as $140 for a purchase of at least $499.99. The details are a little bit complicated however.
It all starts on February 2 at 11 am CT. From that time and until 11:59 pm CT on the same day, you’ll be able to register for a promo code worth $140 for a $499.99 purchase, or $50 off a purchase of at least $249.99.
If you don’t get such a promo code, then you can try again on February 3, though the deals available on this day won’t be as good. The maximum savings will be $100 for a $499.99 order or $35 if you buy goods totaling at least $249.99. You can buy anything you want to take advantage of the deal, except theNexus 6, Republic Wireless’ version of the 2nd generation Moto X, and Motorola’s Extended Service Plan.
Some restrictions apply for the other devices too. There’s a limit of two per customer when it comes to theMoto X (2014)Moto G (2014)Moto G 4GMoto E, and Moto 360. If you have successfully registered for a promo code, you’ll be able to apply it until 10:59 pm CT on February 14. This is the special website at which you can register starting on February 2.

Deal alert : walmart offers iphone 6 and 6 plus 150$ off regular price

Walmart is offering Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus with significant discount in the United States. Major US carrier versions of both devices are available with $150 off Apple’s regular price without contract.

A refur16GB iPhone 6 is priced at $498, while its bigger brother goes for $598 for a model with 16GB of built-in memory. Apple typically asks $649 and $749 respectively for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
It is worth noting that Walmart’s promo is valid for refurbished devices in like new condition with 90-day warranty. Refurbished hardware has been thoroughly inspected and tested before hitting the shelves.
Currently available models include 16GB iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus for AT&T and iPhone 6 model for Sprint with the same amount of memory. Larger memory models are not yet available.
