Sony Xperia E4 on pre-order in mainland Europe for €130

Last week the new Sony Xperia E4 went on pre-order in the UK, since then it has expanded to mainland Europe. It's still a bit difficult to find but we managed to find it in a few stores at €130, practically on par with the £100 pre-order price in the UK.
The shipping date is set for 2-3 weeks from now, but nothing more concrete than that.
The Xperia E4 has a 5" IPS screen with qHD resolution (220ppi) and will launch with Android 4.4 KitKat, though it's on the waiting list for 5.0 Lollipop. It's powered by a MediaTek chipset (quad Cortex-A7) with 1GB of RAM. It has a 5MP/1080p main camera and a 2MP/720p selfie camera.
And more importantly, it costs less than the Moto G (2014), which is already on Lollipop and has a sharper, 720p screen. No 1080p video capture though.
Anyway, there's still no sign of the Sony Xperia E4 Dual, so it's price is unknown.

Sony Xperia E4 goes on pre-order in the UK at £100

The Sony Xperia E4 quietly sneacked onto the stage yesterday and the announcement was so quick we didn’t even get a launch date and a price. Clove UK has answered both of these questions by putting the new handset on pre-order.
It's priced at £100 and will be available in late March. Clove also cleared up the OS situation – the Xperia E4 will launch with Android 4.4.4 KitKat and get 5.0 Lollipop later. Note that the price is for the single-SIM version, there's another one with two SIM slots but there's no price for it yet.

Expansys is also accepting pre-orders but hasn’t listed a price or a launch date. We couldn’t find it in other stores for now. Three UK has a post about it, which just speculates on price but points to mid-February as the launch window.

Sony lets you win the new Xperia E4 in Facebook competition

Mere hours ago Sony took the wraps off the new Xperia E4, and now the company is giving you the chance to win one. All you have to do is participate in Sony’s special competition, which is taking place on its Facebook page.
You have to answer a maximum of seven questions. The first one is up now, and for each answer you get one ticket for the draw. To win you’ll need to have answered at least one question correctly. Sharing the contest with friends also looks set to bring
you some additional chances to win.
The next question will be available tomorrow, so it could be that you’ll get one new question each day for the next week. The contest may not be available worldwide, but if you can see its page, then you can participate (unless you’re from Turkey or Quebec, for whatever reason). If you’re lucky enough to win the Xperia E4, it will be shipped to you around one month after it officially launches in your country, whenever that may be.

Sony Xperia E4 and E4 Dual promo videos promise budget party phones

Sony quietly unveiled the Xperia E4 and E4 Dual – entry-level smartphones with a 5″ qHD screen, quad-core processor and a surprisingly good 5MP/1080p camera. The phones will launch with at least Android 4.4.4 KitKat though Sony’s web site claims 5.0 Lollipop.
I’ll leave the promo video (though one has been removed) to introduce the Xperia E4 couple in more detail.

An interesting new addition to Sony’s complement of camera features is Party Share – it will automatically collect and share photos from your party. It can even set the mood in a room by using Wi-Fi Direct so people can take the role of a DJ and share their music.

Sony Xperia E4 and E4 Dual quietly unveiled

Sony just announced the Xperia E4. It has a bigger screen than the Xperia E3, a similar a quad-core processor and 1GB RAM, plus a 5MP/1080p camera. It doesn’t have LTE though, what it does have is a dual-SIM version similar to the Xperia E3 and E1.
While it's not perfectly clear which phone is being replaced by the Xperia E4, but it will be Sony's first phone to launch with Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Update: in the promo video the OS version is listed as 4.4.4 KitKat. Hopefully Sony will get its story straight soon, but the earlier Android release looks more likely.

Sony Xperia E4
The phone is powered by a MediaTek MT6582 chipset with four 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 cores and a Mali-400MP2 GPU  with 1GB of RAM.
Note: The official specs page still says Adreno 330, which is clearly wrong.
The main camera is a 5MP shooter with 1080p video, while the selfie camera is a 2MP/720p unit. The selfie camera is an improvement over the VGA snapper of the Xperia E3 and you get double the storage out of the box – 8GB. There's a microSD card slot, of course.

For connectivity there's optional dual-SIM, 3G HSPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1. There's FM radio and Sony's usual assortment of audio-enhancing tech.
Since the Sony Xperia E4 and E4 Dual were announced without much noise we still don't know details like price and the launch time frame.
Note that these two are the E2003 and E2033, not the E2105/E2115 that leaked yesterday as the "Xperia E4."

Renders of Sony phone probably show the Xperia E4

Renders of a new Xperia phone have leaked – thanks to a case manufacturer, of course – which suggests the device is pretty much ready for an appearance at the MWC in the first days of March. The E2105/E2115 model number matches with the Xperia E4 that leaked in December.
The specs also fall pretty close to the Xperia E1 II, which showed up on a phone retailer's web site. There was some uncertainty there about the screen size as the site lists both 4" and 5", though the given dimensions match the Xperia E1 exactly and that one just doesn’t have the room for a 5" screen.

Sony E2105/E2115, likely the Xperia E4
Whatever the official model name, the Sony Xperia E2105/E2115 should have a 5" screen with qHD resolution (540 x 960px), a quad-core processor courtesy of a MediaTek chipset, 1GB of RAM and 5GB of storage, plus a 5MP main camera and 1.9MP selfie camera. The phone ran Android 4.4 KitKat when it was previewed in December, months ahead of its official announcement.
